Savings and Links

Yesterday, you may have read my new series on The Siesta Fiesta Blog: Grocery Savings Reality-Style. I am no wizened woman in this department, yet. But I am learning. And with prayer for creativity and discipline in planning and spending, we are actually living on our grocery budget and saving money!
One place that you may want to check out in the next few weeks is my blog, What Would Martha Cook? For I am posting cost-effective recipes from wise women that I know, who have kindly passed down their recipes to me over the years.
Also, (and I think this is the coolest!!) God has been putting this grocery savings idea on the minds of others. I guarantee the comments on this post by Melissa on the Living Proof blog will give you some great ideas for saving and planning. Be sure and check it out!
Another place is my friend, Meredith's (Life at 7000 Feet) cooking blog. She always shares wonderful and tasty recipes that are very cost effective. Meredith also is very wise in her spending, so spend some time reading through her main blog and learn from her wisdom!
Finally, my friend Kimberly is getting back to the basics and saving money like nobody's business. She is working hard and setting her heart and mind on honoring her family and her God in learning new-old tasks. It takes a lot of work, but I believe a little at a time, we could all end up saving money and becoming accomplished in things we NEVER thought we could do. I love passing down a good and godly heritage to my kids. Check out Kimberly's blog here, Kimberly's Cup. Her Reflections post is really inspiring!

Thank you, sweet friend!
Wish we lived closer--I'd come over with bread and some hugs!
I've had the same thing on my mind lately. There are some great websites for coupons, etc. out there. Yesterday alone, I got over $20 worth of cereal & oatmeal for FREE! And I went to Walgreen's and got over $75 worth of products for $1.50 (by the time I get my rebates back). AMAZING!
Looking forward to reading what you have to say. Thanks for the links!
Holly...I was actually going to do a meal planning post this week. I read yours yesterday and don't have too much different to add!
I also wanted to tell you that in the Walmart parking lot is a bit that you can recycle your magazines in.
We take our stuff down to Fillmore/Stone, but if you just have magazines, dump 'em in the bin at Walmart!
Thanks for the links...I need to spend some time reading through them.
Can you find me a blog that someone is sharing recipes from the Thrive diet??? have you heard of that???
I need to get creative...
great to hear from you ... I have missed you bunches

another good site is survivalkitchen.blogspot
my challenge is being a cost-effective-creative cook in a house with three picky eaters! (Not me, the other 3!)
Can't wait to read the recipes! Thanks for sharing all the links too... this is turning out to be a time-consuming read today! :) Love you!
I have a cheap, yummy, pretty healthy recipe that my Mom used to make. I'll email it to you. Love y'all!
Your header looks great!!! You are going to do very well at blog designs.
I am excited to take time to look at all your links from this post. I just last week started doing a monthly menu for our family. I'm very excited about it. So I am on the lookout for good/easy recipes.
