A Thousand Words in Technicolor

>> August 25, 2008

Y'all, I am so brain-mushed right now--got home very late last night. This weekend was packed, chock-full of wonders and miracles. I promise to tell about it in the next few days. Today and tomorrow, with the help of Su in Colorado Springs and Mer from Life at 7000 feet, we are shipping out nearly 100 cookbooks by tomorrow.

Today is Sydney's second birthday and our cupboard is nearly bare, so it looks to be a busy day and a half. It is SO good to see my wonderful family. SO GOOD!

Yet, I have had the most amazing encounters this weekend...first with the Living God of all creation. Then with so many others that I have come to know and love. It was a foretaste of Heaven, friends.

I must insert here that many of the pictures I have are of me and someone else. I really didn't have time to take as many photos of the events, as I would have liked. I spent ALL my spare time passing out cookbooks. There's a lot more to tell about the cookbooks, but I'll wait 'til later.

First three pics...a couple of crazy girls, whom I asked to turn around. Literal lovelies are they! They crack me up!! Fran and Georgia

Me and Lisa Pierre--is she not a knock out? Her voice is beautiful, too! She leads worship for Beth's Tuesday night Bible study. Her comments on various blogs always, always make me smile.

Next are my sweet friend and lovely travel companion, Kate and my beautiful roommate and dear friend, Joanne.

Praying friends are staying friends--Kim, Me and Patty

Me, Bev and Kate

Me and Cheryl (Profbaugh)

A Funny
Another funny that I thought Beth would enjoy!

Me and Lisa (my roommate from University of Texas)--I love how we just picked right up, where we left off!

Me and beautiful mother and mother to be, Amanda

Me, Cindy Foote (who sings like an angel) and Kate

Sophie (BooMama), Me, and Melanie (Big Mama)--I really enjoyed getting to visit with both of these mighty women of God. They are just flat-out beautiful.

A selection of wonderful seekers of Christ and Siestas to follow...I'm running to go to the store now before taking Tabor to kindergarten.

It went by so fast! I hardly got a chance to talk to you! I couldn't really sit down and chat since I had the little ones with me. Hopefully we will get another chance to visit (maybe at Thanksgiving :)). Loved all your pictures! And I can't wait to hear what you got from the conference from your notes. The cookbook is wonderful! You did a great job!

Ditto to what Dori said!

I pray that I can attend the next Siesta Fiesta!
God Bless!

Holly, I meant what I said at the lunch. You are one of the most sweet-spirited people I know and I just love you my sister.

I kept putting off getting a cookbook and now is it too late?

Or will you go into a full out migraine if you hear the word "cookbook" again anytime soon? LOL!

Cindy Foote August 31, 2008 10:00 PM

Holly! You have so many friends. I'm guessing it's because you are so sincere and sweet! Looks like your time in San Antonio was a blessed one.

To answer your question - the family who lost their ET child before they traveled to ET will get another referral ASAP, I'm assuming. I'm fairly certain they will be a priority for our agency and they won't have to re-do any paperwork or anything like that. Then they'll wait for their court date all over again and travel. I'm praying this all happens very quickly for them.

Blessings,
Cindy Foote
